Looking for something creative to do over the festive season? Here are three great ideas I’ve seen on my internet travels this week:
- DIY Photo Ornaments - with just a 6″x4″ photograph, 2 paper fasteners, a bit of thread, scissors and a hole punch, you can make an attractive Christmas ornament for your tree.
- How to Photograph Christmas Lights - got some nice light displays near you, but been disappointed with your photographs? Here’s a great how to guide to get the best holiday photographs.
- Make a Personal Cookbook using your Own Photos to Illustrate the Recipes - struggling to find a suitable Christmas present for a loved one? What about a personalised cookbook made from your own collection of recipes, with your photographs to illustrate each one? You can have a beautiful hardcover version made professionally from Tastebook.com (linked above) or have a go at making your own homemade scrapbook version.

1And don’t forget you can make your own photo Christmas cards too.
Either pose / dress up the family for something a bit silly… or go find yourself a nice winter scene to photograph. Much more fun than buying off-the-shelf cards.

2Thanks for the simple tip and great ways to connect with other people through photography. The ornaments idea is great way to have a holiday project with the kids.
